Producer: Paula Randol-Smith

Becoming, at age 10, the second female personal page in the history of the Texas State House of Representatives was only the first of Paula Randol-Smith's accomplishments. An award-winning theatrical producer and actress, Paula has spent the last twenty-either years in professional theater. She has also worked in both television and film as an actress and in production. Her credits include over 200 theatrical productions, 60 of them world premieres or new works, many of which she created or produced. She has worked on the production end of such films as: Lonesome Dove, Finnegan Began Again, Pow Wow Highway, Frances, and nearly two dozen commercials. She has worked for such film production companies as HBO, Propaganda Films, and Handmade Films. She has also worked on the staffs of such theater companies as: The Dallas Theater Center, Earl Holliman's Fiesta Dinner Playhouse, La Mirada Civic Theater, and the Pasadena Playhouse when it first reopened its doors in the late 70's through the early 80's.

 

An alumnus of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, Paula studied theater at the University of Texas, and Trinity University, and has also studied with Darryl Hickman, Milton Katselas, and Harry Maestrogeorge, amongst others. She is a member of S.A.G., A.F.T.R.A., and the Actors Equity Association. Her most recent acting production, Round the Horn: The Sea Shanty Musical, which she created with her writing partner Bill Howard, opened in Los Angeles to stellar reviews.

Director: Wendy Robbins

Wendy Robbins is a 3-time nominated, 2-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker. She directed, produced and written primitive shows for CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, PBS, MTV, Discovery, Sci-fi Channel and HBO. She attended the Jullliard School for acting and has acted in over forty plays. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America, and former board member of the International Documentary Association. She is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Women. For the past year she has headed an Internet company (with clients including Disney, Paramount, and MGM) and developed the first animated musical on the Net.

Wendy is a frequent speaker and panelist on filmmaking at UCLA, Art Center, and USC. In college she won many awards as a speaker and debater. President Jimmy Carter acknowledged Wendy as one of the best debaters in the country.
